On Endangered Species Day, sisters Jazmin and Lotus Kay launched Bears for Cares to help children around the world understand the state of wildlife and endangered species by gifting stuffed animals and educational children’s books. The sisters teamed up with environmentally-friendly company Hugg-a-Planet, to make the stuffed toys, which are also available with a stuffed Earth to educate kids about the planet. You can also now purchase the new book series by Bears for Cares co-founder Lotus Kay, More Beautiful Than Heaven and Billie the Octopus. Two more books by Lotus were released in Fall 2020: Jenny the Chimpanzee and A Thanksgiving for the Turkeys. All of the books have companion stuffed animals of their main characters.
Bears for Cares is proud to be a project of Jane Goodall's youth education program Roots & Shoots. Bears for Cares also donates a portions of its proceeds to the Jane Goodall Institute and her Roots & Shoots program to help support other young people passionate about helping our wildlife and planet.
